Motion defeated - but the house is divided

183 voted Yes
220 voted No.

That's roughly 45% Yes and 55% No. Wow. Almost right down the middle.

Two thirds majority not achieved. Life resumes.

    That's right. No officially sanctioned same-sex blessings will occur in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
